Beth Lowe resides in Kommetjie but growing up on a farm near the small town of Douglas in the Northern Cape, South Africa. After completing a BA Fine Arts (HED) at Stellenbosch University, she taught art at both Primary and High School levels, and ran private art classes from home while her three
children were growing up.
From farm life to living in the coastal town of Kommetjie, Cape Town, Beth has always loved to paint the beautiful outdoor scenes that surround her.
Throughout the changing seasons, and various weather conditions, Beth captures these moments in true plein air style.
Beth and her family enjoy holidays at the seaside village of Still Bay, on the Cape South coast.
She loves to paint outdoor scenes from this joyful and popular holiday town.
Beth is presently a member of the South African Artists Society and exhibits regularly at their annual
exhibitions in Kirstenbosch Gardens, and has been invited on numerous occasions to
show her work at the merit exhibitions.
She also has regular exhibitions at her newly founded 'Entrance Gallery' in her home.
Beth happily endures harsh weather conditions to capture the
unexpected and beautiful fleeting moments.
